Who You Are Dealing With
We work on garage doors and openers in and around Prescott Valley, AZ. Most of the houses we get called to were built between 1987 and 1999, with 1992 sitting right in the middle of that range. That matters more than it sounds like it should: doors, tracks, and opener mounts from that era were built to specs that have since changed, and a lot of the hardware on those garages is original.
Across the five main pockets of housing stock in this area, the story is the same - 1980s and 90s construction, extension or torsion springs sized for the door weights of that period, and openers that are either original or one replacement removed from original. We see the same failure points over and over: worn rollers on steel tracks that have gone slightly out of true, torsion springs at the end of their cycle life, and openers with drive gears that have finally given out after decades of use.
We don't do cosmetic upgrades or smart-home integration work that has nothing to do with the door itself. If your call is about a door that won't open, a spring that's snapped, or an opener that's dead, that's the job we take. If it's something else, we'll tell you straight rather than take the work and figure it out later.
How to Reach Us
Call (928) 384-1449 to reach us directly. We're based at 9200 Florentine Rd, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314, which puts us close to the center of the area we cover rather than out on an edge of it.
When you call, it helps to know the basics before we get there: whether the door won't move at all, whether it's making noise on the way up or down, whether the opener light is on, and roughly how old the door is if you know it. That's usually enough for us to have a decent guess at the problem and bring the right parts on the first trip instead of a second one.
We don't run a 24-hour dispatch line, so if you're calling outside normal hours, leave a message and expect a callback rather than an immediate answer. That's the honest limit of what we can promise on timing.
